Workshop description:
Join Nat Curator of Botany and National Geographic Explorer Dr. Jon Rebman for a night of perfecting your iNaturalist plant observations. Jon will be sharing tips and tricks for how to make high quality plant observations valuable to science. This training will be geared towards participants that have past experience with iNaturalist, are interested in learning more about the plants and botanical diversity in San Diego County, as well as identification resources, such as sdplantatlas.org.

Registrants will receive free digital resources to help hone plant observation and identification skills. If you need help with the basics of using the iNaturalist app or website, please review the tutorials provided here prior to attending this program.

This online program is free of cost. However, if you can, please consider adding a donation of any amount during checkout to support the Museum's mission during our closure.

After registering, you will receive an acknowledgement email that includes the Zoom access information. This email should arrive immediately upon successful registration, but may take up to an hour. In the event that you do not receive it, please contact us at customerservice@sdnhm.org so we can assist you. 

On the evening of the event, follow the instructions in your email to watch live. You do not need a Zoom account to participate, but you will need to input your email when you sign in. You will have the option to turn on your camera and unmute yourself during this event.
